Château-Thébaud, a little south of Nantes, is one of the ten newly recognised cru appellations (crus communaux) of the Muscadet Sèvre et Maine winemaking area. Some 15 or so producers are entitled to use the appellation. Our Cru wines are made from the Melon de Bourgogne variety and are grown from the best plots of old vines overlooking the river Maine, on a unique subsoil of granodiorite and gneiss. After two years of ageing on lees, the wines show freshness, finesse and complexity. They are ideal paired with gastronomic cuisine and have excellent ageing potential.
